6.1.1 Apostrophes
- Use apostrophes to show possession.
- Use 's to show possession by a singular noun.
- Use s' to show possession by a plural noun.
- Use apostrophes to signal a contraction such as it's meaning it is, you're meaning you are, they're meaning they are, or who's meaning who is.
- Use no apostrophes in possessive pronouns such as its, your, their, or whose.
- Use an apostrophe to signal certain odd plurals: numerals, abbreviations, single letters, and some acronyms.
