7. In paragraphs, vary your sentence length and structure

  1. Keep sentences under about thirty words, three lines or so.
  2. Join and subordinate choppy ideas.
  3. Tighten loose sentences.
  4. Place modifiers with care.
  5. Prefer standard sentence order.
