When you are using a structured writing format, like bullets,
tables, or other groupings of data, introduce the data with the
conclusion that one would draw from having already looked at
the data. In other words, you should have said your main, conclusive
idea before the reader covers the table or the bullets. In that
way, the reader can concentrate on what you think is important
and will not have to wonder which of the data elements will be
a main idea. |
